After graduation in 69, I entered a Masters program in Soil Science under Dr. Soper. I did not finish that program, and went into a family meat business for a few years.
I moved to Calgary in 1974, joining Allied Chemical Services in the role of Research and Development in Crop Protection. II was with Allied for 11 years, in roles of Sales and Sales Management.
In 1985 I joined May and Baker as National Sales Manager for Canada, and transferred to their Toronto office. In 1989 I left Rhone-Poulenc, and started up a franchise Printing business in Kitchener. I moved back into the Crop Protection business in Manitoba in 1994, with Cyanamid. I finished my career with Univar Canada Ltd., as General Manager of the Canadian Agricultural Division. I retired in August, 2007, having spent 10 years with Univar.
I have two boys living in Cambridge ON., with 4 grandchildren and a fifth on the way. My first wife passed away in 2003, and I married Beth in 2007. Beth is retired from the Armed Forces, and has two boys as well. We retired in Winnipeg, and moved to Carman in 2007, where we garden a little, volunteer a little for Meals-on-Wheels and church functions, Golf at the Carman Golf Club. Winters are spent in the Rio Grande Valley where we own a mobile home.
